About ME
Hi, I’m Megan!
I’m a special education teacher turned SAHM and digital resource creator. I create and share trainings, data systems, and teaching resources I wish I had when I was a self-contained teacher!
downloads that are actually useful for your students!

Teaching Experience
I have been teaching for 9 years in the public schools in Massachusetts. After receiving my BS in Severe Special Education from Boston University and my MA in Urban Education Policy, I began my career in a co-taught fully inclusive Pre-K classroom and moved on to a self-contained K-4 setting. I am licensed in Severe Special Education and primarily teach students with high support needs. Over the last 9 years, I have worked with students who have Down Syndrome, CVI, TBI, multiple disabilities, students who are autistic, and students with complex healthcare needs. I was honored to be awarded a Pioneer Valley Excellence in Teaching Award in 2023 (photo with my husband, who won the same award in 2018!)
My approach to education is simple- my job is to make school accessible for all learners. Accessibility doesn’t just apply to mobility and print access. Implementing Universal Design for Learning, adopting neurodiversity affirming practices, and fostering connection over compliance creates more accessible schools for neurodivergent students. I’ve learned over the years that getting back to the basics of school – authentic connection, individualized approaches, and simplifying classroom systems – has made for more success and less stress in the classroom.
From Accessible Educator to Resource Creator
As the only self-contained teacher in my building, I was responsible for creating curriculum, building data sheets, training paraprofessionals, and modifying materials with little to no prep time. I quickly realized that the resources I needed either didn’t exist or didn’t work for my students. I was modifying materials late at night, struggling to train paras, and constantly asking myself: “Where are the resources that support my students?”
Out of necessity, I started creating my own materials—visual supports, data sheets, behavior tools, differentiated activities, trainings, and routines that worked in real life. Practical special education resources designed for:
- Self-contained classroom teachers
- Teachers serving students with significant support needs
- Educators juggling IEP paperwork, multiple behavior plans, and daily survival
What started as a few documents on my computer turned into resources I relied on every single day. And eventually, other teachers started asking for them, too!

Are you the only self-contained teacher in your building? Join a group of other teachers who get it– who do exactly what you do and are looking to build community and share ideas.

Helping Teachers Make Classrooms Accessible
Now that I am home with my daughter, I have the breathing room to create the resources I wish I had as a self-contained teacher. Becoming a full-time resource creator didn’t mean leaving the classroom behind—it meant bringing it with me.
Every resource I create is shaped by:
- Evidence-based best practice
- Trial and error with actual students
- A deep respect for how complex special education teaching really is
Whether you teach in an ASD classroom, provide push-in support, or homeschool- teachers like you deserve tools that:
✔ Save time
✔ Reduce overwhelm
✔ Provide access to real academics
✔ Actually work in self-contained classrooms
If you’ve ever felt like you’re reinventing the wheel every week—you’re in the right place.
